I support statewide and regional planning efforts by developing, maintaining, and applying advanced models and spatial data tools. My work directly informs infrastructure investment, environmental analysis, and long-range transportation planning across Ohio.Key Responsibilities & Contributions- Participate in the development and application of Ohio’s Statewide Activity-Based Travel Demand Model, supporting strategic planning and scenario analysis- Provide modeling support and technical assistance to Ohio’s Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), enhancing local forecasting capabilities- Conduct post-traffic assignment benefit-cost analysis (including crashes, delays, tolls, and operating costs)- Perform air quality impact modeling using the MOVES platform to support State Implementation Plans and conformity analyses- Execute origin-destination analysis using model assignments, CTPP, and StreetLight data to uncover travel behavior patterns and network usage- Develop Hidden Markov Model (HMM) map-matching algorithms to enhance the accuracy of data (e.g, traffic counts and GTFS transit routes) conflation onto transportation networks- Develop and apply traffic count propagation methods to estimate volume on uncounted interstate segments using network topology- Support statewide transportation research initiatives, including participation in meetings and technical discussions for projects such as the Ohio Moves Transportation Study and other ODOT-funded studies.
