ABOUT DIEGO C.
As a third-year Integrated Engineering student at the University of British Columbia, a top 40 university globally, I have a focus on civil and electrical engineering, bringing a unique combination of technical skills, project management experience, and business acumen. While completing my first two years of engineering school, I ran businesses in the contracting space, overseeing 200+ residential and commercial projects, managing teams of up to 12 painters, and generating in completed work. This hands-on experience sharpened my problem-solving, logistics coordination, and client relations skills which I believe have provided me with a strong foundation of work in engineering roles related to infrastructure development. On the technical side, I have worked on several engineering design projects, including: Developing a wearable alcohol breathalyzer with real-time monitoring and cost-effective prototyping Engineering a self cleaning paint brush machine to reduce labour time Designing a SolidWorks model of a transformable robot Optimus Prime, incorporating advanced assembly and surface modeling techniques I am actively seeking an engineering internship in either English or French where I can apply my engineering and project management skills to massive problems. Additionally I can use technical skills such as SolidWorks, Excel, MATLAB, rapid prototyping, and C++, to achieve a variety of engineering problems. Through my varied experience I believe that I can be an autonomous, competent, and adaptable team member.
