About Diego Tovar
I serve as Director of Campus and Civic Engagement at the Rachel Carson Council, where I work alongside intersectional and intergenerational communities to protect natural resources through policy, campus organizing, and storytelling. With a master’s in Global Environmental Policy and a bachelor’s in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, I bring both policy and scientific training to my work at the intersection of climate, justice, and higher education. I’m especially focused on environmental justice—advancing legislation and community-led solutions that address health, safety, and civil rights. Across local, national, and international contexts, my goal is to connect policy and social equity in ways that create lasting environmental and human rights change.
