I began my career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant, driven by a passion for patient care and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people\'s lives. Today, I am proud to serve as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, a journey marked by continuous learning, dedication, and a commitment to excellence in nursing.Throughout my career, I have earned certifications in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) and Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) with a specialization in Cardiac Medicine (CMC)and now board certified as an Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). These certifications have equipped me with the advanced skills necessary to provide exceptional care to patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions.My work experience spans critical care nursing, where I have managed patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) as an Open Heart Nurse. In this role, I have cared for patients with ventricular assist devices, ECMO, CRRT, and other advanced life-support technologies. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to navigate the complexities of critical care and deliver high-quality patient outcomes.In addition to my clinical expertise, I am passionate about nursing education. I have served as a Nurse Educator, teaching Resident Nurses and providing ongoing nursing education to ensure our team is always at the forefront of best practices and innovations in care. Leadership has also been a significant aspect of my career. I have had the honor of serving as Chairman of the Critical Care Committee, as well as taking on roles such as Critical Care Assistant Nurse Manager and Interim Critical Care Nurse Manager. These positions have allowed me to advocate for quality improvements, mentor and support staff, and contribute to the strategic direction of our critical care services.My journey from a CNA to an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is a testament to my dedication to nursing and my unwavering commitment to patient care. I am excited to continue this journey, leveraging my extensive experience and expertise to make a positive impact in the field of critical care and beyond.
