ABOUT DIEGO PLASCENCIA
I am a sophomore student at Santa Clara University pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with a minor in Aerospace. Currently a R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern at Capstan Medical. On the Capital R&D team, I leverage my enthusiasm to learn, proficiency in CAD, design for manufacturing, and rapid prototyping skills to improve and advance existing technologies. Proficient in CAD, I hold a SolidWorks license and am actively expanding my expertise in CATIA and ANSYS. My dedication to continuous learning is underscored by my involvement with Team 254, a world championship-winning robotics team, where I\'ve amassed years of experience in designing intricate structures and assemblies. My goal is to contribute my honed CAD, FEM, and problem-solving skills to a dynamic work environment, where I can actively participate in and positively impact innovative projects. I am enthusiastic about applying my academic knowledge to practical challenges and am eager to contribute to the success of a forward-thinking STEM company.
