I’m part of Xero’s North America-based Machine Learning team, a cross-functional group of Engineers and Applied Scientists focused on building smart, scalable solutions for small business accounting. My role bridges the gap between cutting-edge machine learning research and real-world product impact.I help bring ML models to life — supporting scientists in model selection, training, and experimentation, then owning the deployment and operationalization of those models in production. I work with the team to design and implement robust data pipelines in Python, enabling reliable access to clean, transformed data for modeling and analytics.A part of my work involves tackling tech debt and modernizing legacy systems. I’ve contributed to the efforts to replace a monolithic, untrainable ML model with a modular architecture that’s easier to maintain, evolve, and scale. I’m also contributing to a new data platform that aggregates and structures customer and businesses information, creating a powerful foundation for future product innovation across Xero.
