Served a four year tour as an Tornado F-3 exchange pilot in the Royal Air Force. Previously commanded Bodø Air Base and Gardermoen Air Base. Served in staff positions in the Air Force, the Defence Staff, the Ministry of Defence of Norway and commanded the Norwegian Defence Material Agency - Air Systems Division.
