ABOUT DIDIER SCHOEVAERTS

I am a senior nuclear expert with more than 30 years of experience across the full nuclear value chain, from reactor engineering and simulator design to training, supply chain coordination and international project development. I have worked with leading organizations such as Framatome, EDF, and the IAEA, where I held key leadership roles in nuclear infrastructure development, project management, training, and human resources for new nuclear build programs. At Framatome, I created and managed the Reactor Training Center, developed full-scope simulators, and led international training programs (EPR, AFCEN codes, reactor physics). At the IAEA, I supported embarking countries in developing their nuclear infrastructure, authored international publications on HR and nuclear knowledge management, and represented the Agency in UN contexts. At EDF, I am currently Head of Mission – Business Development for New Nuclear Projects, contributing to strategy, supply chain positioning, and international partnerships for the deployment of new nuclear projects (EPR2, SMR, advanced reactors).
