ABOUT DIDIER SIMONET
I am the founder of TESTIA and have been passionate about space, and technology since childhood. Currently, I lead the development and implementation of the robotics department at TESTIA. I also serve as the President of AFENDA (Association Française pour les Essais Non Destructifs dans l\'Industrie Aérospatiale), the French association for non-destructive testing in the aerospace industry. Previously, I was Head of the Airbus Group Innovation Works research center in Toulouse and led the Structural Health Engineering research department.My career began at the \"Aerospatiale\" research center in 1987, where I was responsible for automating and computerizing both static and dynamic mechanical testing, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT). Over the past 20 years, I have contributed to several major projects, including NDT for space environments, the industrialization of NDT robotic solutions, digital continuity in production, next-generation metallic and composite fuselages, and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). I have also authored more than 10 patents and publications in these fields.
