About Dianne Leon
I am a first-generation college student with a B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Honors Global Engagement & Leadership. I currently serve as an Intern at the California State Senate, where I support my team on new legislation and stakeholder meetings. With one year of legislative internship experience, I have developed strong research, legislative analysis, and communication skills. My role includes conducting comprehensive policy research across but not limited to, public safety, energy, utilities and communications, government organization, and education; drafting fact sheets and talking points; and completing over 100 bill analyses with informed vote recommendations. Additionally, I have worked alongside our communications director to capture photos and videos of the member at floor sessions, press conferences, and public events. As part of my legislative work, I served as a secondary staffer for multiple bills, gaining hands-on experience with the legislative bill process.
