About Dianna Terrell
Dianna Gahlsdorf Terrell, Ph.D. is a professor of Education at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire where she teaches curriculum and assessment and education policy and supervises student teachers and early clinical field experiences. She earned an M.A. in History and an M.A.T. in Social Studies Teaching (grades 7-12) from Tufts University, and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum, Instruction, Policy and School Reform at Boston College’s Lynch School of Education. There, she was a research team member of the Carnegie Foundation’s Teachers for a New Era initiative, and the Ford Foundation’s Teacher Development and Retention Study. Her research interests include civic, democratic and socially just education; assessing outcomes of social science education; teacher education, and the impact of teacher evaluation systems. Prior to working in higher education, she was a high school social studies teacher in Connecticut.
