About Diann Kissell

Diann Kissell has an incredible story to tell and she tells it well. She overcomes a childhood steeped in secrets of unspeakable abuse and a headline making family tragedy to become an inspirational example of triumph over trauma. Through her healing journey, Diann finds her voice. In speaking out, she shatters a legacy of shame, secrecy and silence. Since the mid-eighties audiences of all types have been the recipient of this dynamic speaker’s story. She has spoken to prisoners, mental health professionals and students. She was even the featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show! A renewed desire to deliver her message of hope comes on the heels of her recently published biography written by Kathy Bird. In “A Turquoise Life”, Diann chooses to replace the heavy, dark shades of survival with the healing color and light of living a turquoise life. Diann and Kathy speak to book clubs, churches, women’s groups, service organizations, mental health centers and conferences.
