ABOUT DIANE M. CARLSON

If there is any word to describe Diane Carlson, it is “entrepreneur” par excellence!While teaching political science at Denison University, Diane “happened” into fundraising. She began her 30 year career in fundraising in higher education conducting capital campaigns. She was an early leader in healthcare development as Vice President of Development, Public Relations, and Community Relations of a large hospital in northern New Jersey.Diane had the good fortune to team up with William Freyd to grow IDC, LLC during the Yale University campaign that launched the Phone/Mail Telecommunications program. First President of IDC and later its Chairman, Diane and Bill grew the company to one of the largest fundraising firms in the country. Because of the success of the Yale campaign, our phone rang off the hook with universities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom wanting to use Phone/Mail.After the sale of IDC, Diane founded 1-2-1 Philanthropic Services, Inc. which successfully served prestigious nonprofits in capital campaigns and Board development.Diane founded yet another fundraising firm, Catapult Fundraising, Inc. in December 2016. Headquartered in Henderson, NV with an east coast office in Bemus Point, NY, the firm specializes in capital campaigns from start-to-finish including Feasibility/Planning Studies, Campaign Consulting, and the Campaign Public Phase using a multi-channel fundraising approach.Diane is known nationally as a thought leader in the fundraising field including authoring articles and frequently speaking at conferences. She received awards from the AFP New Jersey Chapter and the AFP Las Vegas Chapter.
