About Diane Albrecht

Diane is a mission-driven professional passionate about finding creative solutions to development policy problems. Her almost 15 years of relevant experience in program design, monitoring, research, and analysis has given her a rich set of transferable skills and flexibility beyond the programs she has managed in sub-Saharan Africa. A strong and versatile writer, she possesses excellent communication skills, particularly in cross-cultural environments and with an advanced level of French fluency. Diane has demonstrated experience leading teams of headquarters- and field-based staff working across multiple country portfolios on a variety of technical areas within natural resource governance and public policy. Diane’s strategic vision, creative thinking, and strong analytical and operational capacities enabled her to manage programs with annual budgets of up to $2 million US dollars. Furthermore, her work creating public-private collaborations at a governance-sector NGO based in Washington, D.C. honed her skills in leveraging the cooperation of both governmental and non-governmental stakeholders. Diane earned a Masters of Public Affairs degree at Sciences-Po, Paris where she focused on Energy, Resources, and Sustainability. Committed to building the capacity of local civil society organizations to advocate for just and sustainable development outcomes, Ms. Albrecht is primed to integrate the knowledge gained during her Master\'s program to help local groups work with governmental authorities for effective policies and outcomes. Her field-based experience includes designing and implementing programs targeting youth development, natural resource protection, agricultural value-added production, and organizational capacity building. Diane\'s service as a Peace Corps volunteer for two years in Benin gave her a real-world understanding of challenges in development while fortifying her cross-cultural communication skills.
