About Diane Salazar
My career as an educator is a reflection of my commitment to students first and foremost, as well as to my personal and professional growth. I recognized from the moment I decided to become a teacher that teaching and learning are inextricably linked, and my students would always be the greatest inspiration for my own learning. Over time, I have sought to improve my pedagogy by reviewing the research in the areas of immediate concern, both in the formal academic context of graduate and post-graduate studies, as well as in the context of the leadership positions I have held. I enjoy serving students and teachers, and I will continue to seek challenging situations that will contribute to my professional and personal growth. I am confident in my ability to meet the needs of students and teachers, while maintaining high expectations for achievement and conduct. I believe all children can learn, and my own learning as an educator will influence their achievement levels. I strive to continue to develop as a reflective educator and leader.
