With 30 years of child support experience as an administrator, litigator, and consultant, Diane has returned to the State of Illinois to serve as the Policy and Legislation Director for the Division of Child Support Services. Diane brings national leading practices to the Illinois child support program and works with the leadership team to develop and implement new policies, draft legislative and regulatory initiatives, and monitor and evaluate current child support policies and procedures.

ABOUT DIANE POTTS
Diane is the Co-Founder of the Center for Child Support Policy. She has dedicated her career to improving government human services programs so that they may better serve children and families. She specializes in child support programs and has served as an administrator, thought leader, policy consultant, and litigator for 30 years, including as Illinois Deputy Attorney General for Child Support. Diane is a Past-President of the National Child Support Enforcement Association (NCSEA) and its past Secretary, and an Honorary Lifetime Member. She served on NCSEA’s Board of Directors from 20••••19, and was reelected to serve on the NCSEA Board from 20••••24. Diane also is the Vice President of Policy and Legislation and serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association (ERICSA). She received the Illinois Child Support Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, and the ERICSA Intergovernmental Award in 2022.Every year Diane is invited to speak and share her expertise at national, regional, and individual state child support conferences throughout the United States. She also has presented at two international child support conferences: Heidelberg, Germany (2014) and Hong Kong (2016). Diane speaks on a variety of topics including intergovernmental, modern families, legislative priorities, unintended bias, program performance, project management, and legal analysis. She is a frequent author of articles for NCSEA\'s CSQ and other publications.
