In this role, I create and maintain effective processes and procedures to accurately manage all group and event room blocks and rooming lists in a consistent and timely manner. I maintain effective processes to accurately manage group and event deposits as outlined in each contract. My team and I compile, construct and deliver the final bill for each group/even within 72 hours of the group\'s departure. We reconcile all billing questions or disputes in a timely and hospitable manner. I review contracts for accuracy in rates, dates, and billing inventory levels. I participate in all calls and meetings with meeting and event planners and attend all pre-convention meetings. I work closely with Event Management, Revenue Management, and Sales on all protocol for all groups and events. I work with revenue management to achieve optimum occupancy and revenue. I effectively negotiate compromises with guests in a diplomatic and positive manner. I assist the front desk with overflow as needed. I recruit, hire, and train all new GHB managers. I conduct performance reviews and administer disciplinary measures as needed.
