ABOUT DIANA MONTENEGRO

Diana Montenegro, a seasoned HR professional, currently serves as the Human Resource Site Director for South Miami Hospital, a part of Baptist Health in South Florida, overseeing HR operations for over employees. She serves as an Executive Coach for senior leadership throughout the system.Before this, she was the Principal and Owner of Montenegro Consulting, LLC, a firm providing comprehensive HR services to both private and public clients. Her prior role was the Vice President of Human Resources at Terremark Worldwide Inc, where she led the company’s HR functions and managed its global expansion after acquiring multiple companies.Ms. Montenegro has held several executive positions throughout her career, including roles at Penn Nation Gaming, Inc, where she managed HR expansion for the company’s most profitable property with over employees. She implemented programs to decentralize HR functions, including benefits management, legal employment issues, union grievances administration, and employee development.She has also served as Vice President for Carnival Resorts and Casinos and as Director of Human Resources for Doral Golf Resort and Spa.Ms. Montenegro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Certificate for Management Development in Training from Florida International University, along with a Human Resource Development certification from the University of Miami. She is a national member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has held several board positions, including President of the Greater Miami SHRM.Her specialties encompass HR strategic experience in both public and private sectors, due diligence assessment, benefits and compensation, training and development, on-boarding and retention programs, employment law compliance, negotiation, diversity, and union experience.
