ABOUT DIANA VARGAS-SUAZA

I am a highly motivated geotechnical engineer with 15 years of experience working in the Oil and Gas and Power industries. I have also broad experience working on DOT projects and Industrial developments and on infrastructure projects of all types. My excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations make it easy for me to work with clients of all types of industries and provide quality geotechnical services and to lead a team of different disciplines to create geotechnical reports that meet client\'s expectations. I am an optimistic and creative team player with a wide range of interests; I am also able to work independently. I am a problem solver by excellence and I am bilingual and familiarized with civil engineering and mining terms in the English and Spanish languages. In the past 12 years, I have worked as a geotechnical engineer but I have also had business development duties that have been assigned to me due to my enthusiasm as an employee. Some of my responsibilities as a geotechnical engineer include development of project scope and fee estimates, project management, developing subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs, shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability analysis, subgrade evaluations, soil and rock cut slope designs, subgrade stabilization, retaining walls and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other reporting documents. I have also worked in the field overseeing the geotechnical exploration and performing field tests such as the resistivity and the Pressuremeter test or helping clients during project execution. I have worked under a wide range of weather conditions and I am familiar with the amount of travel that involves being a geotechnical engineer. I am able to manage several projects at the same time and be successful on each one of them. I work very well with people of all over the world and I take pride of my work and the company I work for.
