I am studying potassium promoted catalysts using X-ray spectroscopy. This project is part of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research\'s ammonia reformation initiative which is contributing to Germany\'s National Hydrogen Strategy. These studies hope to identify an optimal catalyst for the recovery of pure hydrogen from ammonia to advance technology for the transportation of hydrogen, and ultimately reduce dependency on fossil fuels.
