ABOUT DIANA PARKS
A consummate collaborator and coach, Diana fell in love with nonprofits while working on a community services project at work. Inspired by the impact of education and opportunity for those in need, Diana quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work and servant leadership. Believing strongly in the power of relationships, influence, and coaching, she thrives on complex projects that encourage strong community connections, wellness, inclusion, and growth (through learning, of course!). Nearly 20 years later, with education and instructional design providing a strong foundation for all sorts of impactful work, Diana provides leadership, direction and support to some pretty cool projects that serve community, help people learn and thereby literally change lives. She is happy spending her days keeping Nova Scotia an amazing place to live and work, one program at a time. Experience includes-Serve as Executive Director for a small but mighty non profit with strong operations leadership and a community hub and advocacy strategy for a robust Covid recovery-Program Director for a high-fidelity demonstration project with aggressive program goals and deadlines. Providing targeted program delivery support and forge significant relationships with stakeholder groups to open opportunities in employment and personal development to folks with barriers-Project lead for St. John Ambulance’s national mental health awareness project funded by Bell Let’s Talk and a course for SJA Canada: Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace-Spearheaded the development, sustainment and support of a Portfolio Education & flexible learning technical solution for UBC Medicine-As a person who loves to tinker with technology, I am used to driving and organizing walk-through and technical training sessions along side technical teams.
