ABOUT DIALA EL-MAOUCHE

As the Director of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University, I lead a team of dedicated and skilled endocrinologists who provide high-quality clinical care, education, and research in the field of bone and mineral disorders. I have over 10 years of experience in endocrinology, with a focus on rare and common bone diseases, osteoporosis, vitamin D, parathyroid, and mineral disorders.I have a unique and diverse background that combines clinical and translational research, medical education, and regulatory affairs. I have studied vitamin D and bone at the Johns Hopkins University, investigated the role of FGF23 in rare bone disease at the NIH, and reviewed NDAs and INDs for calcium, vitamin D, and PTH products at the FDA. I have also been a PI for a novel osteoporosis drug; and I\'m a certified densitometrist. My current research interests include disorders of rare bone diseas and mineral metabolism. My mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of endocrinology and metabolism, and to improve the lives of patients with bone and mineral disorders.
