ABOUT CAL AL-DHUBAIB

I’m Cal Al-Dhubaib, a data scientist and entrepreneur with over a decade of leadership in AI, machine learning, and enterprise innovation.I founded and scaled Pandata, an AI design and development firm focused on building responsible AI systems for heavily regulated environments, including healthcare, energy, and financial services. Pandata was acquired by Further in 2024.Over my career I have come to appreciate thet often AI failures are not model failures. It\'s everything else around the model - from model orchestration and observability to designing thoughtful human-AI collaboration. This led me to develop Trust Engineering for AI, a framework to align the design, development, deployment, and use of AI systems with accountable outcomes. It is a shift in thinking from focusing exclusively on controls to rebalancing human-AI interactions to reduce risk.I’m a frequent keynote speaker and executive facilitator on AI strategy, innovation, governance, and literacy, and I’ve had the privilege of speaking to tens of thousands of leaders and practitioners over my career.Outside of my work, I stay active in workforce development and community initiatives, including OhioX, Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.If you are passionate about advancing responsible AI or have an interest in learning more about Trust Engineering, I would love to hear from you!
