ABOUT DHRUVIN TRIVEDI

With more than 10 years continuous IT experience I have a broad skill set covering the development life cycle. Since 2017 I have specialised in testing of data migration, data warehouse and system integration activities which requires a combination of test planning and technical knowledge. Prior to that I spent 2 years as a front-end tester/ Test lead in Barclays bank and 4 years as technical/development/field engineer.My development background and knowledge of the causes of systems failures helps when putting together test plans and trying to diagnose what has caused defects. My experience gained in lead roles means I can plan and execute the complete test life cycle and communicate this to project stakeholders.My testing work has covered verifying ETL jobs on large data sets with millions of records/billions of pounds of financial transactions for large organisations including Sky. On the non technical side I have lead teams of up to 20 people across multiple work streams, am used to recruiting and mentoring staff in technical skills and carrying out appraisals. I have also worked on my own as a solo tester/test lead responsible for the whole test effort on a project. I have worked with senior managers and directors of client organisations whether they are internal stakeholders or external customers who need to understand and sign off the test process and carry out UAT. I\'d describe myself as very approachable and enthusiastically helpful and can fit in to any team I need to get along with.With regards to technical skills I have continued to use SQL/BigQuery extensively and consider myself an expert - team members often refer to me when they need to get their more complex queries to work. I’ve also awarded multiple team awards for raising most defects, critical defects. I have received multiple appraisals for delivering quality products within given timeline from managerial/ stakeholders. I have experience of most development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile/Scrum and have a thorough understanding of system architectures and common industry standards.
