ABOUT DHRUVAM DESAI
I am a junior at the University of Richmond majoring in Mathematical Economics and Computer Science exploring my purpose of promoting the adoption and use of new technologies and data for sustainable, equitable, and meaningful transitions. With my full-time role being a student, I am learning and exploring as much as I can during my Bachelor\'s. My love for learning and varied interests have taken me everywhere from consulting on Gender-Based Violence in Cape Town, South Africa to teaching middle and high schoolers about entrepreneurship. It has also take me to cutting-edge experiences from using Deep Reinfrcement Learning algorithms for macroeconomic models during research to attracting businesses to Richmond using the latest data and trends in the growing sectors and the region. Overall, my interests have varied but I have always sought to use my technical skills and knowledge to empower others in evaluating or solve problems in all my experiences. In summary, my main interests include Economics, Data Science, Consulting, Computer Science, and above all, a love for learning more about all of it and using it to empower others. Outside of my academic and work interests, I also like playing board games, rock climbing, and listening to podcasts like Planet Money and WSJ. My majors will determine my career path, but I plan to nurture these interests as well and integrate them during my journey to learn and empower
