ABOUT DHRUV AGARWAL

After successful completion of MSc in Finance with Distinction and being nominated as the Dean\'s list award for the Best Performer of the Programme as well as Best Dissertation, I am currently working as Assistant Management Accountant at LUSH and simultaneously pursuing my ACCA qualification.# Who are we?You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there’s more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good. We put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what’s inside that counts - whether that’s an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.# What is my contribution as Assistant Management Accountant?• Updating the daily FX exchange rates and group month end rates for various currencies on QAD and Xero.• Responsibility for reviewing fortnightly payment runs and approving invoices on quadient when necessary.• Provide assistance to purchase ledger as and when required• Ownership of daily bank reconciliations of multiple currencies and preparation of the bank sign off sheet.• Monthly outgoing global country recharges and providing statements.• Monthly multicurrency intercompany reconciliation and checking the reconciliation against adaptive reporting.• Support quarterly payment proposals for the group.• Prepare Debt reports to be reviewed by the Group on a weekly basis.• Prepare monthly AP Levy, Cycle Schemes & Freight Journals.• Responsible for aged receivables report and various Ad hoc reporting such as the Mileage Tracker, Dividend received, Bank FX Analysis sheet required for month end reporting.• Supporting the Management Accountant / Finance Manager with preparation of year-end audit files.• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Management Accountant and Finance Manager.• Reviewing the Fixed Asset Register, depreciating assets monthly and completing the capex schedule• Loan interest workings and quarterly invoicing• Ownership of various control accounts and Salary control account reconciliationsBeing a key member of the Limited Finance team of the UK, I am also involved in supporting all the Lush entities across the Globe.# Future plansI would like to continue my passion towards accounting and finance by completing the ACCA qualification and simultaneously gaining practical experience. My main goal will always be growing in the Finance industry.
