Industrial experience as a Research chemist in R&D New Drug Discovery Research (NDDR) Division, Ranbaxy Laboratory Ltd. Sector 17, Gurgaon. Accomplished PhD in IIT Kharagpur on chemical biology where designed and synthesized modified nucleosides as ribonuclease A inhibitors. Synthesis of modified nucleosides were carried out under various reaction conditions. Inhibitory properties of synthesized molecules against RNase A were analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis, precipitation assays and chemical kinetics. Probable interaction patterns between protein and ligands were determined by docking studies. Research interest during first Post-Doc tenure in IISER Pune, India: Synthesis, characterization and biophysical studies of chimeric peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) for programmable recognition of different sequences of DNA/RNA. Trained in all resources including key systems and processes such as synthesis of Novel RNA constructs, delivery of RNA constructs (short interfering siRNAs), and synthesis of new delivery agents and conjugates for siRNAs. Synthesis of novel building blocks for siRNA synthesis, connect the building blocks in an automated synthesizer to make potential new siRNA medicine, and analyze and characterize the building blocks and siRNAs made.Details are available in complete resume.
