Advised one of India’s leading business families in disputes relating to the use of its house mark / brand / trade mark pursuant to a family settlement agreement before the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court and a three member arbitral tribunal. Represented a Mauritius-based company dealing in private equity / venture capital, before the Supreme Court, successfully defending a reference to international commercial arbitration over certain disputes surrounding allegations of oppression and mismanagement. Acted for a global air cargo logistics company in proceedings under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 in relation to unauthorized use of its trade mark in various airports across the country. Represented wholly owned subsidiaries of a leading power company in arbitrations arising out of two distribution franchisee agreements for the city of Kota and Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Represented India’s leading manufacturer and exporter of coated steel in arbitration proceedings in relation to disputes arising out of a supply agreement. Advised a telecommunication company on several aspects relating to their acquisition of one of Asia’s largest data centers, valued at over INR 10 billion. Represented an association of multiplexes before the Supreme Court in a landmark judgment upholding the right of cinema owners to set the terms and conditions for the sale of outside food and beverages within theatre precincts. Represented an association of multiplexes before the Andhra Pradesh High Court in constitutional challenges pertaining to:(i) exclusive sale of online tickets through a government run platform; and (ii) capping of service charges on sale of online tickets. Advised and represented a prominent sports development company established to operate the Indian Super League before the Supreme Court in disputes concerning contentious clauses in the constitution of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
