His role as an advocate of sustainable design dates back over 20 years and he continues to remain on the forefront of this movement including the design of vegetative roof and rain water collection systems.

ABOUT DAN JACOBS
My personal and professional goals are to design buildings that meet our clients needs and budgets while enhancing the environment. We have been designing buildings with an eye to sustainable design ever since the founding of the firm over thirty years ago when our name was Environmental Design and we were designing passive and active solar designed residences.The firm specializes in institutional architecture: higher education and health care with blanket contract for most major HE and HC institutions in SE MI.Specialties: A3C has developed expertise in most areas of sustainable design. We perform ASHRAE Level I and II Audits for several local and state agencies. Three quarters of our technical staff are USGBC LEED AP\'s, three of us have our GBCI LEED Reviewer certifications and another three of us are now Green Building Initiatives (GBI), Globe Professionals (GGP\'s) as well as Green Globes Assessors (GGA\'s).
