I’m a Senior Software Development Engineer working on Alexa Device Software, spanning the full product development lifecycle - from early architecture and hardware bring-up to shipping, deploying, and supporting software across Alexa’s million-strong device fleet.My work sits at the intersection of low-level systems engineering and customer-facing product outcomes. I’ve led and contributed to initiatives enabling fleet-wide performance and latency monitoring, as well as on-device performance improvements across Alexa experiences. As a platform engineer, I’ve implemented and owned software across the stack - bootloader, kernel, user space and co-processor (RTOS) while partnering closely with Product Management and UX to define, influence, and deliver user-visible features.Energy efficiency has been a major focus of my role. I’ve driven on-device energy optimization efforts, monitored fleet-wide efficiency metrics, and influenced system-level HW/SW design decisions to improve power performance across devices.My impact extends well beyond software. I work closely with EE and HW teams on schematic reviews, peripheral selection, and design trade-offs to ensure device hardware aligns with product and performance goals.Rounding out the picture, I have hands-on experience with device manufacturing and factory operations. Through time on the factory line, I’ve supported and unblocked line-down events, influenced manufacturing and calibration processes, and collaborated deeply with hardware and contract manufacturing (CM) teams to get products built and shipped at scale.At heart, I’m an engineer who enjoys solving hard, cross-disciplinary problems and seeing products all the way from first line of code to customers\' hands.
