I was supposed to crack JEE and become an engineer.That was the plan. That was everyone\'s plan.But somewhere in the middle of lockdown, I looked at the road ahead and felt nothing. No pull. No excitement. Just a path I had borrowed from someone else\'s dream.So I stepped off it.I came from a small village near Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Weak spoken English. Zero connections. Just a love for words and a quiet stubbornness that refused to fit in.I got into Zoho Schools of Learning.I started in sales at Zoho. Learned how real businesses work. Learned communication, pressure, and what it means to show up even when you don\'t want to.Then I quit.At 20. From a company, people call the safest job in India. The kind of job families brag about at weddings.I joined a mental health company as Head of Operations. Built systems. Led teams. Learned what it means to create work that actually matters.Then I quit that, too.Not because it was bad. But because I keep listening to that thing inside me that says there is more.Today I lead operations at Townscholar, working with Epaphra. Content, ideas, and stories that connect with real people.I also started mental health therapy in 2024. That changed everything about how I see myself.Here is what I know now that I wish I knew at 18- You are allowed to want something different- You are allowed to quit things that no longer fit- You are allowed to build a life that looks nothing like the one you were handed.I am still early.
