Enthusiastic, self driven, ex Army Security Professional with over 35 years experience in Security Management. 28 years experience in the Army (Infantry, Punjab Regiment, Dec 1979 Batch, 65 Regular ) retired prematurely in the rank of Colonel. During Army tenure, was a Weapon Instructor at Infantry School Belgaum 85-87, attended Staff College DSSC 48 in 92-93, GSO2 in DGMI, Army HQ from 93-95. Was also part of OP PAWAN in Trincomalee and Vavunia, Sri Lanka from 1987-89, participated in conducting Indian Army\'s first overseas Air-landed Operation as a Staff Officer in 1987. Wide experience in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations in NE, J&K and Punjab. Developed the first Road Opening Operations procedure for the Indian Army with support from the Sri Lankan Marine College in Trincomalee. Trained infantry battalions in active operations at the Division Battle School in Vavunia in Sri Lanka. Joined the corporate world as Chief Security Officer of an infrastructure company in 2008. Changed over to United Nations Department of Safety and Security in 2009 overseeing security of over 300 UN offices countrywide. Presently appointed Security Officer, UNICEF India, managing security of UNICEF activities pan India. Security Management in active insurgency riddled areas and peacetime locations with over 400 regular staff and annual budget of US $ 150 million. Adept in Security Risk Management, Fire Safety, Surveillance, Physical Safety and Security, Information Security, Electronic Security. Procurement of Security Equipment, Siting and Operation. Trouble shooting/Liaison with Host Government Security Agencies. Excel as a Trainer in the areas of Field Environment Mocks, Security Management, Fire Safety, Communications. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, English, Hindi and Punjabi.
