Steinbeis Europa Zentrum is actively engaged in over 70 ongoing international projects across our Stuttgart and Karlsruhe locations in Germany. Our team is truly interdisciplinary and international, comprised of experts from various fields, including engineers, natural scientists, economists, social scientists, humanists, and cultural scientists, representing approximately 15 different countries. This diverse team allows us to offer our clients a wealth of expert knowledge and innovative ideas.

ABOUT DHANESH CHATHURANGA
I am an Architect and Smart City Consultant, with recent experience as a Project Consultant at Steinbeis Europa Zentrum in Stuttgart, Germany. In this role, I supported European innovation projects with a focus on exploitation, dissemination, communication, social innovation, and policy-making within EU-funded initiatives. I also gained valuable experience at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO in Stuttgart, Germany, where I contributed to Building Culture Innovation. My work included digital construction processes, VR/AR technologies, and the building industry, with a strong focus on enhancing the digital lifecycle of products and infrastructure across industrial, municipal, and educational sectors. Alongside my professional career in Europe, I am the Founder of the Social Innovation Lab (SL) in Sri Lanka, a non-profit research and development hub that drives community-focused innovation through architecture, product design, landscape, and digital technologies. The lab brings together volunteer students and professionals to co-create solutions that address social, cultural, and environmental challenges through design and participatory development. These experiences have strengthened my ability to integrate architecture, technology, and policy in shaping sustainable and innovative solutions for future cities.
