Gap Inc. is one of the largest specialty retailer with store operations across the globe as well as significant online presence. EDW at Gap Inc is the repository for this data and the team is responsible for design, development and implementation of data flows for both these Retail and Online systems. As part of the team my responsibilities include:• Lead development of projects from inception to deployment with involvement in requirement and cross functional analysis, resource and cost estimation, provide expertise and guidance to other BI analysts and engineering, including 3rd party vendor resources, assist with documentation and training. • Identify and recommend improvements in production application solutions or operational processes in support of data warehouse applications and business intelligence reporting and information delivery assets ( ie, dashboards, queries, static and dynamic reports, etc.) with focus on the overall stability and availability of the system.• Research, manage and coordinate resolution of complex issues through root cause analysis and minor enhancements.Establish and maintain productive relationships with technical leads of key operational sources systems providing data to EDW / BI like POS, ECOMM etc, key infrastructure support areas, such as DBAs and system admins and ensure adherence to established problem / incident management, change management and other internal IT processes.• Drive systems built in Teradata, Bigdata and Azure from traditional support models to DevOps with emphasis on moving from 3rd party vendors to offshore in house IT teams.• Lead feasibility study of splitting Gap Inc EDW infrastructure into two separate companies based on the proposed split into NewCo and Oldnavy.
