About Dhananjay Tomar

I am an Assistant Professor and Pharmaceutics academician currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a focused research interest in advanced drug delivery systems, nanoformulations, and translational pharmaceutics. My academic training includes a M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, where my postgraduate research concentrated on the design and optimization of a SNEDDS of Atazanavir for the management of NeuroAIDS. This research addressed critical challenges associated with poor aqueous solubility and limited bioavailability of antiretroviral drugs, involving formulation design, excipient selection, nanoemulsion optimization, solidification strategies, and physicochemical characterization. A key component of this work was conducted in collaboration with the ICMR–National AIDS Research Institute, strengthening the translational relevance of the study.My research contributions include authorship and co-authorship of multiple research and review articles published in reputed, peer-reviewed journals. My publications span diverse yet interconnected domains such as nano drug delivery systems, SNEDDS, CNS drug delivery, antiretroviral therapy, neuroprotection, smart polymers, gene delivery technologies, antimicrobial peptide delivery systems, probiotics, and medicinal chemistry perspectives. A significant research article published in Drug Delivery and Translational Research explored the antiretroviral action of a rosemary oil-based Atazanavir formulation and highlighted the role of SNEDDS in enhancing therapeutic performance against HIV-1 infection. I have also contributed to neuropharmacological investigations examining Crocin as a neuroprotective agent in oxidative damage and cognitive dysfunction models. In addition to research, I am actively engaged in pharmacy education, with responsibilities including undergraduate teaching, lecture planning, academic mentoring, student evaluation, and curriculum-related activities. I have contributed to institutional quality assurance through involvement in NAAC Criteria 6 documentation and academic administration. My professional development is supported by participation in national and international conferences, seminars, and faculty development programmes. My core competencies include nanoformulation development, pharmaceutical formulation optimization, research documentation, scientific writing, and academic instruction. I remain committed to advancing pharmaceutical research, fostering impactful learning, and contributing to innovations in drug delivery and therapeutic science.
