Responsible for developing and validating CSR/DSR surfaces in compliance with regulatory requirements, addressing mounting feasibility, surface quality, draft analysis, smoothness, gap and flush conditions.Conducting Class-A surface analysis, Feasibility study, Design B side with all relevant engineering features, Creating close volume, checking draft analysis and manufacturing feasibility.Design and development of exterior components covering mounting strategy, packaging, assembly sequence, locating & fixation scheme for components such as 3-piece bumper, grilles, reinforcements, belly pans, wheel well closeout, chassis skirt panels, Extenders, BOC & Modesty panels,Feasibility study of plastic components, performing draft analysis for every engineering feature and generate the parting line and proposed tooling direction for the same.Utilizing UG NX CAD software to prepare 3D parametric models and design proposals in alignment with company standards, specifications, and product feasibility requirements.Developing sheet metal brackets and packaging solutions for exterior aggregates to ensure proper mounting with chassis and cab structures.Preparing detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings with proper application of GD & T in accordance with functional and dimensional requirements.Checking all parts before delivering to customer as per Quality (QC) check list. preparing technical checklist to maintain the quality of product. Also preparing SOPs for Assembly sequence & installation process.Conducting sectional studies at critical product locations to evaluate clearances, interferences, gap & flush conditions, and overall fit & finish between assembled components.Actively participating in daily design review meetings with clients, Design Review Engineers (DREs), and SMEs; presenting design solutions, discussing feasibility and assembly strategies, incorporating feedback, and updating designs as required.
