About Deyla Gutierrez Cavazos

As a kid, I saw my father restore cargo trucks back into powerhouse machines. I often helped him by organizing his tools and reaching small compartments in the engine, but I wanted to see everything the way he did. I spent every day after school and my weekends observing and learning from him. Suddenly, I began to dream of being the one designing these machines and forming the engines and machinery that I spent most of my life fixing. My passion for innovation and engineering are my motivations for pursuing mechatronics engineering. A career that can expand my knowledge in machinery, innovation, computation, and electronics. Following my graduation from Washington & Lee University, I intended to pursue further learning in a mastery program and begin my official stance in the field of engineering. The commitment and intention behind the designs and implementation of creativity is what makes a revolutionary engineer. I intend to become a revolutionary engineer in my continuous pursuit of knowledge. I will become an engineer that fixes broken cargo trucks and forges machinery for the world.
