About Douglas Turnquist
Since beginning my career with Ernst & Young and IBM, I developed a diverse background of experience having served in executive management positions within a variety of industries, including medical device, software, hardware, services, material science and post-secondary for profit education. Prior to founding Thermimage in early 2007, I was Chief Operating Officer of FCNH, Inc, a division of Steiner Leisure Limited (NYSE:STNR). I was placed into this position after successfully completing the ‘sell-side’ acquisition of UCMT, Inc. by Steiner Leisure Limited in early 2006. Prior to joining Steiner/UCMT, I was President and CEO of Webmiles, Inc. which sold to a $500 million loyalty marketing company in early 2003. Before assuming the role of President and CEO at WebMiles, I served as Vice President of Finance and CFO of WebMiles. Other past positions include being former President/CEO of Diamond Seal, Inc, a leader in the development and distribution of hydrophobic coatings for use in the glass industry; Vice President of Finance/COO of Onyx Graphics Corporation, the world leader in the development of large format digital printing software; Vice President of Finance and CFO for Cache Computers, Inc, a developer and manufacturer of computer motherboards and chip sets; CFO and Director of MIS for Micronics Computers, Inc, managing the company’s financial and systems growth, eventually resulting in a successful IPO. I received a BS degree in Accounting from Utah State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. I am a member of APICS and the IMA, have received my CPIM certification, and am a past member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).Specialties: Expertise: Strategy Development & Execution, Turnaround, Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Fund Raising, High Growth, New Ventures, Start-ups.Industries: Medical Device, Internet Services, Private Post Secondary Education, Material Science, Computer Software, Computer Hardware
