Mail Metrics is a leading provider of secure digital and print communication solutions.Reporting to the Technical Services Director, I lead a team of development and QA engineers responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications that support secure production operations across several UK sites.With direct reports located across the UK and India, I provide both technical and people leadership, ensuring high standards of delivery, resilience, and operational excellence.Key responsibilities and achievements include:• Establishing and implementing a new Azure DevOps project from the ground up, transforming work intake, project tracking, and stakeholder communication, and introducing greater transparency and governance across development activities.• Strengthening organisational resilience by identifying and eliminating single points of failure, promoting structured knowledge sharing, and enabling greater flexibility in resource allocation as priorities evolve.• Leading a comprehensive review of backup and disaster recovery processes across multiple UK and Ireland sites, with a focus on safeguarding critical production systems. Partnering with development, support, and infrastructure teams to minimise recovery time objectives (RTOs) and ensure business continuity with minimal client disruption.• Overseeing internal and external incident management and escalations, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement to reduce recurring issues.• Conducting regular one-to-one meetings, developing and monitoring personalised development plans, and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance.• Reviewing and enhancing development practices to improve quality assurance, strengthen security controls, and reduce production incidents.• Identifying, prioritising, and addressing technical debt to improve system reliability, maintainability, security, and long-term efficiency.
