Windermere, GB

Digital transformation – I helped define the digital strategy for Impact and was jointly responsible for the introduction of Microsoft 365. The project replaced a diverse set of incompatible tools and processes with one tool set, created consistency, drove efficiency and saved money.* Localisation – I selected a vendor, set up processes, and introduced a structured, consistent and quality-driven process where none previously existed.* Data Security – I managed a project to ensure Impact was GDPR compliant, introduced policies and procedures, created a Data Security Working Group and an ongoing programme of improvement. Impact is now certified to Cyber Essentials and able to pass the assessments of large global clients with strict data security requirements.* Data analysis – I am leading a project to standardise evaluation of Impact’s programmes globally, as well as manage custom requirements for each client, automating the creation of Power BI dashboards to show results.* Product development – throughout the development of Impact’s web-based learning application, I supported the development team with requirements definition, design processes, design, outsourcing, data security and internal training.* Help desk – I selected and introduced help desk tools for both internal and external support. As part of this, I defined processes, trained users, and still act as support agent. With a view to future growth, I investigated and selected a third-party to provide support agents for our external tools.* Technical consultancy – I have work closely with clients to advise on the use of tools for learning, adapting existing technology and co-designing solutions. This work has generated repeat business and brought revenue into the company.* Sales – I am often involved in sales meeting to introduce and demo technology, discuss options and explain how Impact’s methods activate learning remotely. I have been involved in sales totalling millions of pounds.

ABOUT DANIEL OSBORN

Improving processes and increasing efficiency are at the core of what I do - whether it be improving existing processes for small teams, or introducing new tools and processes to help whole departments or companies work more effectively. Most recently, I introduced localisation processes, selected a vendor and set up a quality assurance structure for a company where localisation was unstructured, inconsistent and costly. At the same company, I’ve been responsible for GDPR compliance, setting up policies and procedures, managing training, and providing evidence to clients as part of their due diligence processes.Previously, I\'ve worked with marketing teams to structure their content, improve content quality, and manage all product content centrally; I have organised and optimised localisation processes for translations in up to 75 languages, as well as helping to introduce a translation management system which has saved millions.I’ve managed teams of localisation engineers, project managers and writers, in many cases remotely. My strengths lie in communication and bringing people together, evaluating and simplifying processes, and looking for structure where it appears there is none.Specialities: business analysis, process improvement, content management, localisation and translation, content operations and processes, user documentation, data security
