I work closely with programme teams to review assessment strategies, academic standards, and the overall student experience, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with relevant regulatory and professional requirements.Key aspects of the role include:Reviewing assessments, marking processes, and academic standards to ensure they meet programme specifications and national frameworks.Providing constructive feedback on assessment design, curriculum alignment, and opportunities for enhancement.Monitoring the consistency, fairness, and rigour of student assessment and progression decisions.Contributing to programme quality assurance through attendance at assessment boards and submission of annual external examiner reports.Offering an external perspective on curriculum developments, apprenticeships, work‑based learning, and sector expectations for the Assistant Practitioner role.Supporting the programme team in maintaining high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices that prepare learners for safe, effective practice within the health and social care workforce.Through this role, I am committed to maintaining academic excellence, safeguarding professional standards, and ensuring learners on the Assistant Practitioner pathway receive a robust, practice‑focused education that equips them for progression and long‑term success.
