I’m an experienced Art Director and Visual Production Lead with 22+ years in publishing, collectibles, and licensed media. I specialize in creating engaging, print-ready content that tells a story—especially for young audiences.Currently at The Upper Deck Company, I manage the hiring of freelance artists for trading cards, games, and licensed products—from concept and layout to finished art. I collaborate with multiple departments to meet project goals and deadlines while staying under budget. Previously, as a Pre-Press Specialist, I created graphics, packaging, digital assets, and custom designs for a wide range of collectibles. I ensured every asset was polished, accurate, brand-aligned, and color-corrected to meet Upper Deck’s high standards.As a freelancer, I developed workflows, graphic designs, lettering, book design, and prepress for publishers such as Scholastic, DC Comics, HarperCollins, and Kodansha. I also served as Production Editor at Heavy Metal Magazine, scaling production across multiple titles and imprints. There, I improved quality and efficiency while crafting on-brand designs and editorial content for the magazine and its associated comic lines.My strength lies in bridging creative direction with production strategy.
