I am a Sr. Metrology Engineer and also Metrology Lab Manager.I manage not only the Metrology functions of the lab but the Calibration side as well.This includes Electronic Calibration as well as Manual Calibration.The Calibration Lab performs between 300 to 500 calibrations a month. This depends on Frequency and Due Date. We utilize the Fluke Met Team software, which is used by NASA, as well as our TVA Corporation. The Calibration portion of the lab is as important as the Metrology side, as UL audits are very common in the Cookeville Facility.The Lab’s proficiency is captured through our Monthly KPI’s. As Demanding as the Lab can be, I have through time, been able to associate myself with some great resources, and people who I can call on with the upmost confidence. I am excited to see where this journey with the new partnerships will take the Cookeville Facility.
