DeWayne has been with EXP since August 1, 2018. He does Design, CEI, MEI, and work as County Engineer for multiple Counties in North Georgia. We are a full-service engineering, architecture, design and consulting firm. Retired from Georgina Department of Transportation - July 31, 2018, He was in the District Engineer position From May of 2012, until my retirement. In this position, He overseen the activities, programs and employees in one of seven field districts in the state in planning, locating, and designing, constructing, operating and maintaining a transportation system. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and department policies, regulations and objectives. Adapt district policies to changes in technology, accepted engineering practice, laws, regulations and rules, and departmental policies. Manage employees, an operating budget, and a multi-million dollar capital improvement program through supervision of Maintenance, Construction, Preconstruction, Traffic, Utilities, and Administration program section heads. Represents the District and the Department in meetings with legislators, local governments, contractors, civic organizations, and other related entities. He had to Communicate and interact with the Deputy Commissioner and other executive management, keeping them informed and updated on key issues impacting the district. He had to have Awareness of the Department’s strategic goals and performance metrics and how they impact the overall district operations.Before this, I was named Assistant District Engineer in District Six and served in this position for 9 years and 6 months. During this time I also maintained the responsibilities of District 6 Preconstruction Engineer. Along with these duties, I also managed the District Construction Office, the District Maintenance Office, the District Traffic Operations Office, the District Administration Office, and the District Utilities Office. I also managed the District Communications Office, District EEO Office, and the District Safety Office at different times.I have a total of 22 Years as Preconstruction Engineer, District Design Engineer and four different titles in (Road and Airport Design and Urban Design).
