Manage the development of contracts, maintain vendor relationships and ensure the cost effective performance of all international logistical services providers.(brokers/forwarders/carriers).• Worked directly with vendors and suppliers, BUYER (overseas) to streamline operations, monitor transportation movements.• Expedite the import/export process by liaising with the regional Import/Export Coordinator, Distribution Planner, and Plant & Production Planning, • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.• Monitor inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management at origin.• Develop control documents (policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions) for Import and Export activities by collaborating with global import/export groups.• Handle end to end vessel operation from booking to discharging (CIF,FOB), appointment surveyor,load port agent coordinate with owners on charter party negotiation & approvals, Freight payment, laytime & payment settlement against demurrage & dispatch with load & discharge port.• Timely LOI follow up on issuance in scenario of obl delay ensure the on time receipt to discharge port for on time for on time discharging.• Prepare relevant import/export documents (i.e. Documentary Instruction for Bulk Exports /commercial invoices, application for import/export permits, bill of Entry Filling, space Certificate for private bonded warehouse against import, Marine Insurance Certificate, Shipping bill filling) and determine classifications such as Country of Origin, and customs valuations for products imported/exported to support Indian/ overseas projects.• Monitor timely shipment clearance to control the PNL impact due Demurrage/ Detention costs inputs to functional groups for financial budgetsNOTE : A lot more other responsibilities.
