ABOUT PAUL DEVLIN

As a Site Reliability Engineer with over 15 years of experience in IT, I’ve had the privilege of working across a broad spectrum of systems—from mainframes to modern cloud environments like AWS. With a background in development my career in DevOps and SRE practices has given me a unique perspective on system reliability, automation, and operational excellence.In my current role, I focus on: Developing and implementing SLOs/SLIs Building Observability as Code platforms Automating processes to reduce TOIL Improving the developer experience through internal tooling and enhanced data visibilityI thrive on working with modern tools and technologies like Kubernetes and ArgoCD to manage scalable, reliable systems, and I’m always looking for ways to enhance automation through effective scripting. My technical toolkit also includes Docker, Terraform, Datadog, Grafana, Vault, Komodor and various other infrastructure and automation tools. While I\'m familiar with multiple cloud platforms, AWS is where I have the most in-depth experience.Beyond the technical landscape, I’m a technologist at heart—always reading up on the latest trends and tinkering with new technologies to stay sharp and curious.Outside of work, I’m a dedicated swimming and water polo teacher—something I’ve enjoyed for many years. When I’m not in the pool or knee-deep in code, I love staying active and, most importantly, spending time with my two young daughters who keep me on my toes!
