About Devonne Walker

Hi, My name is Devonne Walker! My journey to becoming a software engineer started with my previous role as a digital marketing strategist. Within that role-outside of building campaigns, and collecting and analyzing website metrics such as bounce rate and traffic sources-I began trying my hand at rebuilding the company\'s WordPress website, which gave me a crash course in CSS and HTML. Following that, I applied and got accepted into Fullstack Academy to continue learning about software engineering. During my time at Fullstack Academy, I was placed on two teams, one where we created an E-commerce platform, and the second team we created an online multiplayer card game clone with a fully functioning chatroom. Working within these teams helped me build the skills that every engineer needs to become a great engineer, communication, and teamwork. Beyond software engineering I do enjoy cooking and photography, it gives me a creative outlet that I can share with others.
