This course will focus primarily on topics from American History: Pre-Colonial up to World War Two. We will focus on inductive methods of inquiry and small group interaction/discussion. Upon class completion, Student will be able to connect current events with the timeline of history instructed during this course. This course is designed to venture a touch from the conventional box, utilize media, promote independent research, and cultivate one\'s one area of interest whilst developing a passion for history. This course will also cover the basics of American history. It is both my aim and the College\'s to meet every student where they are at and to motivate the intrinsic desire for further learning no matter the field of study one has chosen. History has many lessons, American history and this particular period of study, will be a survey course that covers much in an 8 week session. Student discussion will drive the interest to the topics and issues relevant and exciting covering both the good and the bad but perhaps even the ugly.
