About Devodita Chakravarty

Hi! I am a fourth-year dual degree student, studying Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur and also learning Data Science at IIT Madras. I\'m really into Machine Learning and Robotics. I have experience in Safe Controls, Computer Vision, NLP, ROS, and data mining, and I love working with others. In an interesting project, we at AGV replicated Hexplane for dynamic novel views synthesis using explicit representation of the dynamic 3D scenes, which reduced training time by 100x as compared to NeRFs. We have also autonomously navigated a robot in ROS through stored waypoints after visualizing the LiDAR point cloud in Rviz, teleoperating it to scan AruCo markers, and generating an occupancy grid map. In a project with Deakin University (TULIP Lab) under Dr. Zhu, we utilised GANs and AEs to detect anomalies, which could be used in industrial settings. In another project at IITGN (Sustainability Lab) under Prof. Batra, we used CNN to generate super resolution satellite images which were then used to detect pollution sources using YOLO-OBB. In my project with IIM under Prof. Sarkar, I did a multimodal Image-Text analysis to generate insights from customer reviews, using aspects of both image and text with a BiLSTM network.I\'m excited to use my skills in new projects and gain more experience in a dynamic work setting.
