Acting Group General Counsel for leading climate consultancy and carbon asset developer, South Pole. I advise South Pole’s leadership on a wide range of legal matters including strategic investments, M&A and JVs, board management and corporate governance, senior appointments and exits, corporate regulatory compliance, crisis response and investigations. I oversee legal and compliance teams across APAC, EMEA and the Americas focusing on commercial contracting, Article 6 engagements, structured carbon deals, regulatory and public affairs, employment, dispute resolution and data privacy, and, in collaboration with the Digital Business team, the implementation of tech-enabled legal solutions for entity and contract lifecycle management. I am dual-qualified to practice law in India and England & Wales and have over 13 years’ experience working in Mumbai, London, Dubai and Singapore. My previous diverse experience at leading multi-jurisdictional law firms includes legal investigations and crisis management, PE investments and exits, JVs, investment fund management, regulatory advisory, commercial contracting, corporate compliance and employment.I am a gold medallist from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, graduating top 5 of my class, and a recipient of the Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Award and the Temasek-NUS Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking Scholarship.
